Master Ralph Truesdell is the owner, operator, and head instructor of
True Tae Kwon Do; he has been studying the martial arts for more than
twenty-five years.
A native of the Fargo-Moorhead area, Mr. Ralph initially trained at
the taekwondo gym of Fargo-based master-instructor Moo Yong Yun while
attending nearby Moorhead State University.
After graduation and the completion of his black belt certification,
he moved to Minneapolis where, beginning in 1983, he taught taekwondo
at the Blaisdell Branch YMCA. In 1994, while still at Blaisdell,
Mr. Ralph was promoted to the taekwondo master-instructor rank of
4th dan.
In 1996 Master Ralph founded True Tae Kwon Do in his new home city of
Bloomington. After intensive training in kumdo under the instruction
of Grand Master Yun, he received his black belt and has offered
classes in the Korean sword art since 1998.
Master Ralph Truesdell currently holds the taekwondo rank of 6th dan,
as well as 2nd and 3rd degree black belts in kumdo and hapkido, respectively.
